Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: May 21, 2026

Some links on softpicker.com are affiliate links. This page explains exactly what that means, why we use them, and how we make sure they do not influence what we recommend. The disclosure is also written into the relevant FTC and EU guidance, but we want it in plain language too.

What an Affiliate Link Is

When you click certain links on this site and then sign up for, buy, or trial the product on the vendor’s website, we may earn a commission. The price you pay does not change. The vendor pays us a small share of revenue as a referral fee.

You can usually spot an affiliate link by hovering over it. The destination URL will contain a tracking parameter or pass through a network such as Impact, PartnerStack, ShareASale, CJ, or the vendor’s own program. Where it is not obvious from the URL we add a small “(affiliate)” note next to the link or a disclosure at the top of the article.

Why We Use Them

Testing software costs time and money. A long roundup easily eats several days of work between setup, testing, screenshots, and writing. Hosting, tools, and licensed images add another layer of cost. Affiliate revenue, along with display advertising, is what keeps the site online without a paywall.

How We Keep It Honest

  • Rankings come first, monetization second. We pick winners based on actual testing. We then check whether the winner has an affiliate program. If it does, great. If it does not, the article does not change.
  • We mention free options. Several roundups put a no-cost tool at the top. Free tools rarely pay commissions. We still list them.
  • We say when something is bad. A tool with a generous affiliate program is not protected from criticism. If we did not like a tool, the article will say so.
  • Sponsored content is labeled separately. Paid placements are marked as “Sponsored” or “Partner content” and are not mixed with editorial roundups.

Specific Programs

We participate in or have participated in affiliate programs offered by the major SaaS vendors covered on the site, including but not limited to: Microsoft Affiliate Program, Adobe Affiliate Program, Notion Partners, Atlassian, Canva, ClickUp, Monday.com, and a range of smaller productivity and AI tools through aggregators like Impact, PartnerStack, ShareASale, and CJ. This list changes over time.

Amazon Associates Note

If and when we link to a product on Amazon, that link is part of the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon and affiliated sites. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This statement is included to comply with Amazon’s operating agreement.

If You Spot a Problem

If a link looks like it should be disclosed and is not, or you think a ranking does not match the article’s reasoning, tell us at info@softpicker.com. We take the feedback seriously and have changed rankings in response to reader notes more than once.
